With an increasing number of businesses in Ohio alerting about potential job reductions, many more layoffs have taken place unexpectedly.
Recent data suggests that more than 2,000 individuals in Ohio could face job losses by the end of the year.
Companies with over 100 full-time employees must provide a minimum of 60 days’ notice before laying off 50 or more individuals at a single site, as mandated by law.
A notification must be included in the official record with Ohio’s Department of Job and Family Services.
After more than a year of reporting on the subject of layoffs in American companies, I have yet another update to share.
