Atlanta police say they have made half a dozen charges in connection with the murder of a man discovered sitting in a car in an apartment complex parking lot in August.
Police said the man was discovered in serious condition with a gunshot wound to the head in the parking lot of the Mark at West Midtown apartments on Bishop Street. He died a few hours later.
Investigators believe the victim, whose identity has not been published, was responsible for many car break-ins near Lenox Square before breaking into two more at the Bishop Street complex.
Channel 2 Action News previously reported on Matt Washington Jr.’s arrest in Clayton County in connection with the fatal shooting. Washington was discovered hiding beneath the blankets of his bed, pretending to be asleep, in early October.
Officers are also revealing more information about the other persons involved in the case.

On September 16, Justin Burton, 19, was arrested in DeKalb County and charged with murder.
On October 28, detectives apprehended Gary Price, 23, in Conyers and charged him with murder.
