A major furniture retailer revealed that it will be shutting down all of its stores across the country this month, affecting several locations in Virginia and one in Maryland.
American Freight has initiated the process of shutting down its 328 locations along with its online warehouse. The shutdown occurs as the parent organization of American Freight, Franchise Group, Inc., has initiated Chapter 11 proceedings in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court located in Delaware.
Hilco Consumer-Retail, the firm overseeing the sales as the business comes to a close, announces that customers can enjoy discounts of up to 30% off the lowest prices throughout the store on various items, including living room sets, bedroom furniture, dining tables, and a range of scratch and dent, as well as new-in-box appliances like refrigerators, washers, and dryers.
“Our goal is to deliver outstanding value to customers during this full chain closing sale,” said Ian Fredericks, CEO of Hilco Consumer-Retail in a press release. “Everything is on sale and must be sold, and we recommend shopping early for the best selection.”
