HPP: One person has lost their life as a consequence of an accident that led to the vehicle driven by the driver catching fire.
A news release stated that at approximately 2:05 a.m. on Saturday, an accident that involved a car and an 18-wheeler was reported to have taken place in the eastbound lanes of Interstate 20 near S. Cooper Street.
The automobile and the 18-wheeler were involved in the collision. There was a response from the Arlington Police Department to the location.
When the authorities arrived, they found a Hyundai Elantra from the year 2024 that had been completely encased in a blanket.
The fire was put out by the Arlington Fire Department, who displayed the charred remains of the driver inside the vehicle after it was extinguished.
The burned remains were found within the vehicle.
The researchers have a strong suspicion that the driver of the Elantra was going at an excessive speed when they rear-ended the 18-wheeler, as stated in the news release.
Regarding the elements that could have contributed to the incident, drinking has not been eliminated as a potential contributor.
It was discovered by the police that the driver of the 18-wheeler had not sustained any injuries as a result of the incident.
The Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office will make the identify of the deceased person public after they have successfully identified the deceased and notified the next of kin. This will take place after the identification process has been completed.
