HPP: During a bond hearing on Friday, a mother in South Carolina who was devastated by the death of her daughter, who was four years old, at the hands of her boyfriend, broke down in tears in court.
She asked him, “Why would you do something like this to her?” after it was revealed that he had intentionally abused the girl with special needs and caused her death through “non-accidental” blunt force trauma, as stated by the police.
A mother named Ashley Caris broke down in tears as she testified in court, saying, “You didn’t have to hurt my baby. She was my entire world. … I hate you, Tyler. I hate you so much.”
Tyler David Ternberg, age 28, has been charged with homicide by child abuse in connection with the death of Addison Carr.
According to her mother, Addison was unable to move about due to a lack of oxygen after birth, and she utilized a feeding tube.
It has been reported that Addison was allegedly murdered the day after Christmas. The results of her autopsy have revealed that she suffered from blunt force injuries that was not the result of an accident.
The Greenville County Sheriff’s Office determined that her death was the result of a homicide investigation.
Following the bond hearing for Ternberg, Stanley Carr, Carr’s father, expressed his feelings to WHNS, saying, “I’m just sad and mad at the same time. I don’t know how somebody could do this to somebody like Addie.,” the speaker said.
Ternberg is said to have been Caris’ lover and to have been providing care for Addison at the time of her passing, according to the authorities.

At this point, it is not clear how he allegedly caused the “non-accidental” injuries that were sustained by the child; all that is known is that they were caused by blunt force trauma, and that they were fatal.
According to a description of Addison’s passing on GoFundMe, “She was beaten and shaken until she lost her life.” In order to assist with the expenditures associated with Addison’s burial and other expenses that are associated with her passing, friends and family members started an online fundraising.
Stanley Carr was named as a “team member” and recipient of the funds.
Despite the fact that she had a number of health problems from the moment she was born, she was a source of happiness and light for a great number of people, as stated in the description.
Addison’s father that he will never forget his daughter because of the joy that she brought into the world.
“My biggest thing is just remembering that smile from her all the time,” he stated. “She was just a sweetheart.”
