New York City– There is a forecast for rain and warmer temperatures in New York and New Jersey.
As a warm front moves toward the southwest, Sunday signals the beginning of a warm trend that will continue through the week.
The day began with a great deal of cloud cover on Sunday, but as the day proceeded, the sky gradually cleared out to reveal some sunshine. In the presence of a strong breeze, temperatures should be higher than fifty degrees.
It is anticipated that there will be intervals of rain beginning in the morning and continuing through the late afternoon or evening on Monday. In some cases, the amount of precipitation may approach a quarter of an inch. Again, it is anticipated that highs will reach 50.
On Tuesday, there will be a predominant cloud cover, with the possibility of fog and drizzle. Before additional precipitation hits on Wednesday, temperatures will be abnormally close to 60 degrees, and temperatures will be even milder than they are today, with highs in the middle of the 50s.
There is a cold front that is expected to arrive on Thursday, bringing with it temperatures that are significantly lower and will only be in the upper 30s. By Friday and Saturday, the air will be dry, and the maximum temperatures will range from the middle to the upper 30s.
