Shocking Abuse: Florida Man Charged for Violently Slamming Puppy to the Ground

HPP: After being recorded on tape reportedly smashing a puppy that was one year old against a concrete floor, a man from Florida was placed under arrest and charged with animal cruelty.

A “animal complaint” was reported at an apartment complex in Kissimmee, Florida, on December 27. As a result, Osceola County police located Marco Zuluaga, who was 28 years old at the time, and arrested him. The security footage from the day before was provided over by the apartment management, as stated in the arrest order.

The footage showed a man who was recognized as Zuluaga walking a little dog through the flat. One can hear a noise that is “consistent with someone slamming something against a hard surface” that is not visible to the camera.

After that, Zuluaga reappears in the scene with the dog, and he brutally throws her down onto the concrete floor outside the apartment building “in a pitcher motion.” The sound of the dog yelping in pain and then fleeing can be heard in the background.

The arrest was announced and an update on the investigation was provided during a press conference that was held on December 30 by the Sheriff of Osceola County, Marcos Lopez.

He explained that Zuluaga assaulted the dog because she had an accident on the carpet inside the house, which was the reason in questio

The dog was smashed against the balcony railing, and Zuluaga “contemplated throwing her from the third floor,” according to Lopez, who also alleged that Zuluaga did this when the video was not rolling.

Lopez claimed that Zuluaga’s use of force to throw the dog to the ground was so intense that it caused him to injure his own shoulder.

As a consequence of this, the dog was able to bounce off the surface after it had made contact with it. According to what he had to say, “The amount of force that he uses is just disgusting and disturbing and unacceptable, and it is a miracle that he did not kill this dog.”

The dog, an Australian shepherd puppy named Lilly, was taken to a veterinarian, who determined that she had a “dilated pupil in her left eye” and “deep tissue bruising on her underbelly.” Lilly was diagnosed with these conditions. It is anticipated that she will make a complete recovery.

A charge of felony animal abuse was brought against Zuluaga, who was arrested and put into the Osceola County Jail. According to Lopez, “if we could have charged him with anything else, trust me, we would have.” You can take my word for it. On the 28th of December, he was released after posting a bond of $5,000.

Lilly was put into custody by Animal Control as part of the pretrial release agreement that Zuluaga was required to comply with. Additionally, Zuluaga was prohibited from having any contact with pets. According to Lopez, this guarantees that she will be “safe from harm, and she will never return to that monster if she ever returns.”

Lopez had additional good news for Lilly, as she revealed that she has already located a new property that will be her permanent residence.
