Influenza cases are on the rise in South Carolina, as reported by the state’s Department of Public Health.
During the week of Nov. 24-30, there were 155 confirmed lab tests reported. Recent data indicates that there have been 875 confirmed lab tests during this flu season.
Flu season usually kicks off in October, with the highest levels of activity occurring from December through February.
Ten counties in the state reported flu-related patient visits that reached the baseline level for the week.
