Three-vehicle Collision on Highway 166 Injures One Seriously, Minor Injuries for Two Others

Highway 166, one mile east of Pine Canyon, was the location of a three-vehicle collision that occurred on Tuesday morning. One individual sustained serious injuries and was airlifted from the scene of the accident.

The Santa Barbara County Fire Department said that two additional individuals who had minor injuries declined to receive medical treatment during the incident.

A pickup truck and a box truck moving in the opposite direction collided, and a Honda Accord, which was a third car, was struck by debris that was released from the incident, as stated by the Santa Barbara County Fire Department.

During the first response, the California Highway Patrol had closed both lanes of traffic on Highway 166. However, they have now opened one lane of traffic that is under the authority of the Santa Barbara County Fire Department.

At approximately 8:41 in the morning, the crash was reported for the first time. On Tuesday, the Santa Barbara County Fire Department mentioned their presence.
