Woman Killed in Single-vehicle Crash on State Highway 22 Near Milburn, Two Children Survive

One woman from Tishomingo suffered fatal injuries as a result of a collision that occurred roughly six miles south of Milburn.

On December 18, at approximately 8:43 p.m., the accident took place, as reported by the Oklahoma Highway Patrol (OHP).

At the time of the collision, Lori L. Swaim, who was 34 years old, was driving towards the southern direction on State Highway 22.

The car driven by Swaim was unable to navigate a curve, and as a result, it went off the road and collided with a tree.

A head injury was the cause of death that was determined to be the cause of death at the scene after Swaim had been trapped for almost two hours.

There were two young boy passengers in the vehicle, ages seven and eight years old respectively.

According to reports, the passenger, who was eight years old, was trapped for around twenty-five minutes before being taken to the Oklahoma City Children’s Medical Center, where he is currently in stable condition.

A passenger who was seven years old did not sustain any injuries.
