HPP: According to the Phoenix Police Department, on January 4, a young man of 18 years of age was found dead at a building site for a home development in the north of the city.
Around two o’clock in the afternoon, the event took place in the Verdin master-planned neighborhood, which is located on Sonoran Desert Drive close to 7th Street.
Officers arrived on the site and discovered Omar Marino Alonso, who was 18 years old, with clear indications of trauma.
Additionally, they discovered a water truck nearby that had sustained substantial damage. Firefighters arrived on the site and confirmed that Marino Alonso had passed away.
According to the appearance, the driver was the one who operated the truck. His filling up of the tank is just about complete. During the descent of the slope, the vehicle experienced a loss of control and turned over, resulting in the driver taking off from the vehicle.
After being ejected from the vehicle, he suffered substantial injuries, which ultimately led to his passing, according to Sgt. Phil Krynsky of the Phoenix Police Department.
There is still an ongoing investigation into this tragedy, but according to the police, it looks that speed had a role in it.
Construction sites are what you see here. For the purpose of safety, they have their own version of the rules. The topic of safety is one that should be emphasized at all times, as stated by Sergeant Krynsky.
Taylor Morrison, a company that specializes in residential construction, occupies the development site.
“We are deeply saddened by the fatality of a contractor that occurred over the weekend at one of our construction sites, and our thoughts are with their family,” the company said in a statement that was released.
